Getting There:
Full details are on the hotel web site, but feel free to contact Ellen for help.
There are 3 options for getting from Boston’s LoganAirport to the John Carver Inn in Plymouth:
PlymouthBrockton Bus Service: This bus picks up at each terminal at least once per hour. You can check their website for the scheduled departures at www.p-b.com. You can purchase your tickets from the bus driver (cash only). The buses pick up outside baggage claim at each terminal. Look for the signs directing you to the bus locations or check with Information at baggage claim. You should purchase tickets to Plymouth. The bus will drop you off at Exit 5 commuter parking lot. Please call Ellen’s cell phone at 770 939 0824 and we’ll arrange to pick you up and take you to the hotel. Fares are $20.00 one way or $36.00 round trip. Prices are subject to change, so please check the website.
Taxi/Shuttle Bus: It is approximately 45 minutes from LoganAirport to the John Carver Inn in Plymouth. Boston mandates a flat rate fee for all fares outside of Boston. The current flat rate to Plymouth is $128.00. The shuttle services I looked at charge $120 for between 1-4 people. Feel free to check for shuttle services and if you have a group arriving together, shuttle van service may end up being more cost effective.
Group Bus: We have worked with our Tour Operator, Tour Trends, and they are willing to provide 2 buses for us provided we have a minimum of 25 people for each trip. If we can get a minimum 25 people, the cost would be $25 per person. We would have to arrange a convenient time, depending on flight arrivals, but would need to leave Logan by 3 p.m. latest on Tuesday, October 19. For those that would be interested in this option, you will need to send Ellen your arrival flight #, airline and time as well as your departure flight #, airline and time. We will then coordinate if we have enough people for 1 bus each on Monday and Tuesday or 2 buses on Tuesday. For the Sunday, October 24th, again if we had a minimum 25 people, we will arrange for a charter from the hotel to Logan at a designated time for $25 per person.
If you are interested in a Burtonwood Bus transfer to and/or from LoganAirport, you must contact Ellen before October 1st.
Reunion Day Trips: We have 2 different trips that are part of our Reunion. On Wednesday, October 20, we will take a quick bus tour of Plymouth and then head to Cape Cod. We’ll spend time at the Sandwich Glass Museum/Heritage Museum & Gardens. We’ll have lunch, and end the tour by going to Hyannis Port to see the Kennedy Compound and associated sites. On Thursday, we’ll take a trip to tour Boston to see the sites, lunch will be on your own.
